TMR 29 Artist Spotlight: Silverada

Formerly known as Mike and the Moonpies, Silverada is an Austin-based band that has been a staple in the country and Americana scenes since 2007. Fronted by singer-songwriter Mike Harmeier, the group also includes guitarist Catlin Rutherford, bassist Omar Oyoque, steel guitarist Zachary Moulton, and drummer Taylor Englert.

In 2024, the band announced a pivotal change: they would be rebranding as Silverada . This name change signifies a new chapter for the band, reflecting their evolution and growth over the years. Their self-titled album, Silverada, marks their ninth studio release and showcases a blend of honky-tonk roots with explorations into southern rock and beyond. Tracks like “Radio Wave” and “Wallflower” highlight their willingness to push musical boundaries while maintaining their signature sound.

Currently, Silverada is on tour, bringing their dynamic performances to venues across the country. Known for their energetic shows, they continue to captivate audiences with their evolved sound and stage presence.
