Were there any radio stations or on-air personalities who influenced you growing up?
Absolutely. Bill Mack with WBAP and Allan Peck with KBOX. To now have Bill Mack’s son, Billy Mack Smith III here at KHYI and work beside Allan today is an honor.
What was your last non-industry job?
I owned a boxing gym.
What CD is in your car right now?
Mingo Fishtrap – “On Time”
What music do you enjoy listening to that might surprise your listeners?
I love listening to songs from the 50’s and 60’s, especially studying one-hit-wonders and what made them so big at that time. I also listen to some heavy metal and bands like Sevendust.
