To celebrate the 4th of July, Little Elm is hosting their July Jubilee at the Little Elm Park! Here’s an excerpt from their press release with all the details:
LITTLE ELM (June 24, 2014) Celebrating the anniversary of the nation’s independence on July 4 is a tradition unlike any other, and Little Elm is preparing to make it even more memorable, says Alicia Gray, Festival and Special Events Coordinator.
“Our specific geography and the amenities we have lend themselves perfectly to this kind of celebration,” she said. “To have a new and expanded beach within a park that contains an amphitheater, playground, pavilion, open spaces and outdoor games makes Little Elm unique. Add a fireworks display over Lewisville Lake, and your day at the park is complete.”
July Jubilee in Little Elm is set for Friday, July 4 starting at 5 p.m. and concluding with the fireworks display. The event is free and adequate parking is provided in the expanded lots. Additionally, free shuttles will be running from Little Elm Stadium continuously throughout the evening. Little Elm Park is at 701 West Eldorado Parkway.
Food, drinks, snacks and appropriately-themed summer merchandise will be available for purchase. Providing the evening’s entertainment is 121 North, a popular foursome playing original and cover Texas Country music.
“We’re very excited about the evening festivities,” said Chad Hyde, Parks and Recreation Director. “Especially the live radio simulcast that FM 95.3 The Range will feature of the fireworks music program.”
While the fireworks will be set to a computerized music and timing program, the radio station will broadcast it simultaneously, allowing listeners to tune in to FM 95.3 and enjoy both the sight and the accompanying sound of the fireworks display. “We’ve made this arrangement so that anyone on the shoreline or out on the lake can enjoy the fireworks both visually and through music,” he said.
We hope your family and friends enjoy your holiday, Happy 4th of July Range fans!
