The Friends of Mainstreet shows continue July 19th at the Greenville Auditorium with Asleep at the Wheel and Mandy Barnett:
The Kenneth Threadgill concert Series welcomes 9 time Grammy Award winner Asleep at the Wheel, the post-modern king of Western Swing for more than four decades on Friday night July 19th to share the stage with world class vocalist Mandy Barnett as part of a special package show they call “Bob Wills Meets Patsy Cline”.
Austin supergroup Heybale! will take a break from a regular gig at the Continental Club in Austin to open the show with their classic country sound. The Series, which is named for Greenville native and Austin legend Kenneth Threadgill is presented in Downtown Greenville at the historic Municipal Auditorium, which was built in 1939.
