Members/Bio:
Rags O’Hooligan (vocals, guitar) – Citing influences from Ray Charles to Scott Nolan, Rags and his music are hard to pigeon hole. A gentle nature and raspy delivery make him instantly relatable to an audience. And once he’s got them he doesn’t let go.
Mike Donahue (guitar) – Mike has been in Texas for just over a year now, originally hailing from Southeastern Pennsylvania. He met Rags through the Dallas open mic scene and started playing with Straw Hat Society not long after. Filling the role of lead guitarist, Mike strums and picks to give the sound an extra level of bite.
Justin Longorio (percussion) – Justin, a Dallas local, has music in his blood – playing since the age of 15, his washboard is a perfect companion to Rags’ irreverent style.
Waylon Whitaker (ukulele) – An old school mate of Rags, Whitaker brings the fun and the energy.
Together they are Straw Hat Society.
