2014 Shiner Rising Star: Congrats BUFFALO RUCKUS!

After 13 weeks, Shiner Beers and KHYI’s 2014 Shiner Rising Star competition has come to an end! We have had 21 great bands competing but ultimately, The Buffalo Ruckus came out on top! As the 2014 Shiner Rising Star, Buffalo Ruckus has won a recording contract with Shiner Records (up to $10,000 spent on the recording process with a name brand producer such as Gerf Morlix, Lloyd Maines, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Dan Baird, Jonathan Tyler and others) and a guaranteed spot in KHYI’s TMR 19 next Spring!

We appreciate all the bands who applied, especially those who made it into the competition and brought their all, the guest judges and of course all of the fans who came out to support their favorite bands every week! We’d also like to thank DB Sound for providing our backline every week, Mary Jane Farmer at SceneInTown.com for taking pictures and providing recaps each week, and all of our venues that provided great space and awesome service throughout the 13 weeks!
