A Texas native, Max Stalling is a singer songwriter influenced by the likes of Robert Earl Keen, Townes Van Zandt, and Guy Clark. After earning a strong following on the local music scene, in 1997 Stalling issued his debut album Comfort in the Curves; Steve Earle’s E-Squared label reissued the record nationwide in the fall of 1999. Home to You, Stalling’s 5th studio effort, was released on August 17, 2010 on the Blind Nello Records label, produced by Grammy winner Lloyd Maines. It earned both a Best Album and a Best Male Vocal nomination for the 2011 Lonestar Music Awards. The album’s first single, “I Ain’t Drinking Alone”, was #14 on the Radio Free Texas 100 Most Requested Songs of 2010 list.
