Band Bio:
THE WHISKEY PROPHETS, delivering our very own blend of Texas Music since 2010!

A musical fusion of Texas proportions! The band blends Texas-Country & Red Dirt with thick Southern-Rock and Blues influences into their sound; blossoming into a soulful Alt-Country/Americana fingerprint of the Whiskey Prophets.

The song’s themselves are as diverse as the musical influences and arrangements surrounding them. Confessional and colorful song catalog with lyrical themes stemming from love and loss to staying true to one’s convictions. Songwriting with purpose that makes it clear; The Whiskey Prophets have a statement to make and the music is their platform.

The band is an equal-parts ownership operation.  No one makes a larger cut than the next and everyone shares in the duties of the band beyond playing in the group.  Each band-mate believing in the long-term vision for the band and playing an integral part in the very synergy that sets the Whiskey Prophets apart from other artists on the scene.

The Whiskey Prophets is fronted by Dallas local singer/songwriter Brad Roberson, who also plays acoustic-rhythm guitar. Mike Norris (fondly known as “Hostile Mike”) pioneers the freight-train energy and driving rhythms from behind his drum kit. Jeremy Ailes (Highway-J) rounds out the rhythm section on his warrior bass while singing back-up vocals and Matt Hinchey engineers melodies on the electric & slide guitar also while singing back-up vocals.

The band released its first full-length CD titled “Regrets, Rehab, and a Refill” in the Spring of 2011.
The 2nd album “Recoil” was released on July 31st, 2014.  Listen for the debut single from the Whiskey Prophets “My Love Ain’t Enough” coming January 2015!

Come check out the Whiskey Prophets TOMORROW night in Round 1, Week 3 of the 2014 Shiner Rising Star Competition! This week is at Southern Junction (Royse City), 8-10pm.
