Levi Cobb & the Big Smoke is an irreverent, whiskey-soaked folk rock band based in Denton, Texas. Founded in 2010 by lead vocalist and guitar/banjo player Jesse Thompson, the band now features Kim Nall on rhythm guitar and vocals, Dave Stone on bass, and Charlie Moore on drums. The band members come from a variety of musical backgrounds, citing influences from Metallica to Creedence Clearwater Revival to Waylon Jennings. This diversity results in a unique Americana sound that is as grounded in rock and roll as it is in classic country. They recently released their debut studio album, Troublemaker, recorded at Redwood Studios in Denton, TX, and produced by Midlake’s Joey McClellan.
